For many years, Bill Hwang was a high flying donor for Ravi Zacharias’ ministry. He also was someone who Zacharias put in front of his audiences even though Zacharias knew Hwang had a checkered past. Now some more of those chickens may be coming home to roost. Watch:

As I pointed out in 2017, Hwang’s first SEC rodeo cost him 44-million and the loss of his ability to trade securities for five years. Apparently, he found a way to do it and do it massively.
“No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” It is evident which master Hwang has chosen. This is a principal that few in rich Western countries claiming to be Christians really understand. We do not think that the poor are blessed. We do not think that God’s Kingdom is closer to them. We avoid seeing the distractions and concerns that go along with being wealthy. Nor do we understand the warning God made to the Laodicean Church who was rich and in need of nothing. God threatened to remove their candlestick. Almost no one understands what that meant. All five churches that were given that warning were eventually completely destroyed. These churches no longer exist for the very towns they were named after have not for over a millennia now. God blotted their towns out of existence. The two churches not given this warning have existed continually even until now in towns that still exist as well.
Birds of a feather…
