  1. Enjoyed the track… thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. Thank you, Dr. Throckmorton, for your work on this blog, and also for being willing to engage with me now and then when I take exception to something you write. Hopefully I am as complimentary and appreciative as I am critical.

  2. Dr. Throckmorton, you may have already posted on this, but attorney and author Steve Baughman is self-publishing his book Cover-Up in the Kingdom: Phone Sex, Lies, And God’s Great Apologist, Ravi Zacharias. Not sure why this wasn’t contracted through one of several presses that would potentially have interest.

    1. I have absolutely no skin in this game, but I can think of a few legitimate reasons they passed (assuming they were offered it).

      1. Lack of corroboration of the book’s claims, leading to the fear of potentially damaging law suits.
      2. Zacharias isn’t that prominent a figure in the US. I doubt anyone outside of evangelical circles knows who he is, and he isn’t the flamboyant figure that is typically needed to draw interest from a wider readership.
      3. In the age of Trump, nobody cares if another prominent evangelical figure has had an affair and lied about it, not even the evangelicals themselves, so maybe there just isn’t the market for it.

If the book turns out to be good enough and interesting enough to sell a good number of copies, a publisher might come along later and snap up the publishing rights. It wouldn’t be the first time.

  3. Great Music and must say, over the last few years to wonder who is behind those fabulous comments that carry so much wisdom. I search WW & wthrockmorton just to see what “spock” has to say. And the “hair”. Jesperson, you have made my Christmas. Mankind is not lost. Congrats on getting out more Mannheim Steamroller music. Now a subscriber.
