Latest Update on Warren

As posted from a family update:

On Sunday Warren had a heart attack. Mild as it was, it led to tests which led to a heart cath which led us to a triple by pass surgery on Tuesday. He came through surgery wonderfully, had a great morning today. He walked some and ate some and then got very tired and then the pain from the chest tubes started. He really is doing great and can’t wait to get those tubes out! We ask for your prayers during this time of recovery and learning! Warren is very determined to follow orders so he can get back to all the things he loves doing! Thanks so much for all the prayers and those to come. We have an awesome God and we are so thankful for his love for us!

  16. Hope you recover soon, and you have been in my prayers. You have meant a great deal to me in my own understanding of faith and sexuality, so please know that you are greatly loved and that the work you do has had enormous impact on gay young people like myself. Godspeed.

  17. Warren, prayers for your speedy recovery! I follow your blog and love your voice on faith and the LGBT community. Thankful the Lord is doing a healing work in you! Prayers for you abound!

  18. Oh dear. I’m very sorry to hear about your health issues Dr. T. Although we’ve had our differences in the past, I don’t wish ill health on anyone. I’ve just gone through my third pacemaker implant.

They started when I was 31 years of age. I’ve been an athlete and very disciplined about my health all my life. Especially because of the premature deaths of both of my parents before I turned age 15.

The heart can be strong, but it needs vigilance. So I do hope, from the depths of my own heart, that yours will be well soon.

    Take care.

  22. It’s good to see that Warren’s decency, integrity and compassion get across to those of us who are agnostic but fellow believers in the ethical and positive features of his faith. Love and kindness make doctrine permeable.

Get well and back with us soon.

  26. WHEW!

I don’t believe in gods. But I also try to never let mere ideology get in the way of doing the right thing, so I sent a few prayers too. I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Might send a few more, for a continuing swift recovery. Best wishes, anyway, and thanks for keeping us informed.
