More coverage of police crackdown on gay rights meeting; anti-gay bill may be considered this session

Freedom of association, freedom of speech; these are precious freedoms that Ugandan gays do not have. And if David Bahati gets his way, very soon, Ugandan LGBT people may not have freedom to live.

Note Bahati at the end of the video. He says Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Committee Chair Stephen Tashobya has assured him that the bill will be acted on in the next session.

Folks, it looks like it is time to wake up again.

  1. If you were a fly on the wall in one of these meetings of LGBT people, you would find that they are trying to find ways to live free of harassment, in safety…..

A fly on the wall will see that a clandestine meeting taking place between Euro-American Gay Propagandists and their paid-up African puppets based in Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. The topic of discussion at the meeting is how to engage in better gay propaganda to sensitize young (impressionable) people allegedly “confused about their sexuality”. On the agenda of the meeting is how to promote gayism more effectively to the wider society against stiff resistance from the vast majority of Ugandans who see gayism as a anti-social, deviant, abhorrrent, abominable, unAfrican and inhuman behaviour.

You would hear nothing of recruitment, I guarantee, were you to read every piece of LGBT information and every LGBT website you could find. Try it. “Gay rights” simply means that these people want the right to live their lives in peace.

Ugandans are not THAT stupid. Gay sex propagandists do not simply want to be left alone to engage in deviant behaviour in the privacy of their dingy bedrooms. They want special priviledges to “get married”; they want to march on the streets in ridiculous costumes or half-naked to celebrate the pride in broad daylight; they want to adopt innocent children from orphanages; they want people who disapprove of their lifestyle criminalized as is the case in many European nations where vague anti-hate speech laws (e.g. Sweden arrested a Lutheran pastor for criticizing gayism in a church sermon). In Uganda, gay sex practitioners can do whatever they like in their dingy bedrooms, but they will get no special priviledges from the Ugandan State.

“Gay rights” simply means that these people want the right to live their lives in peace.

A peace of the graveyard where people who disapprove of gayism cannot speak out when gay propagandists hijack the State for the purposes of expanding their privileges. You can forget about your wet dreams. There is not going to be Gay Pride March in Kampala; neither are you going to see New York-style confetti for “gay marriage” anywhere in Uganda; neither will it ever happen that Ugandan children will be farmed out to gay sex practitioners as trophies from the “gay rights war”

  2. POINT OF CORRECTION:

….neither will it ever happen that Ugandan children will be farmed out to gay sex practitioners as trophies from the “gay ADOPTION rights war”

  3. Much of what you have said here, ‘Maazi’ dear, is completely irrelevant to this post. The issues here are not gay marriage or gay adoption, but freedom of conscience, freedom of assembly and the unjust criminalization of (consensual) activities that are legal for heterosexuals.

    Please stick to the point(s).

(I would add that people here in the UK are perfectly entitled, if they should choose to do so, to meet peacefully and together express the view that, for example, polygamous marriages should be recognized by the state. I believe that this is also the case in the USA. On the issue of ‘hate speech laws’: there has been a small number of prosecutions here in Britain, but the legal test that must be satisfied to secure a conviction is a stringent one – namely that “the relevant act … must be threatening, and not just abusive or insulting”. Of course, saying that gays are a threat to children would almost certainly be deemed ‘threatening”, as the passions evoked by such a statement could lead to violence against innocent gay people, and, maybe, public disorder generally. Furthermore, the right of people to express – as long as such expression is not “threatening” – ‘moral disapproval’ of same-sex relations is enshrined in law in the UK. Conversely, anyone who advocated violence against someone who expressed such ‘disapproval’ could him/herself face prosecution. In other words, people are free to express views, but must do so in a manner that is not “threatening” … or, of course, dishonest – that would be libel / slander.)

  4. One more point. ‘Maazi’: you say (in your habitual demeaning and semi-sexual style – ‘sex’ is clearly very much always ‘on your mind’, isn’t it?!) “[I]n Uganda, gay sex practitioners can do whatever they like in their dingy bedrooms …”

NOT TRUE. The Ugandan State effectively criminalizes private consensual homosexual acts (using old colonial-era laws). Bahati wants to go further; he wants ‘to go into people’s bedrooms to seek out and destroy’.

Again, you are either missing the point or deliberately misrepresenting it. But we’ve got used to that, so are not in the least bit surprised. Such obfuscation won’t wash, by the way (and I think that M7 and others understand that – hence the on-going ‘stalemate’ with regard to the ‘Bahati Follies’).

  5. POINT OF CORRECTION:

And you know this because you have a crystal ball in America which enables you to follow life in Uganda? or you KNOW this for sure because the chattering Kampala-based domestic puppets of the Euro-American Gay Lobby have claimed that they do not sensitize the youths. Can you please ask the puppet-activists why they distribute propaganda leaflets advising “confused” youths to get in touch with them?

  11. Heterosexual couples give birth to children with varient sexual orientation. The causes for this are complex and not fully understood

At least you had the decency not to repeat the pseudo-scientific claptrap about gayism being inborn, innate and genetic.

These are the people who wish to live their lives without having to pretend they are something they’re not (heterosexual). They want to gather in community like other people with commonalities gather.

They are free to establish their community in San Francisco. I am sure there is more room for greater diversity under the rainbow flag of San Francisco. We will not allow any Thailand-style gay sex tourist paradise to be established here in Uganda. This is final !

There is no “gayism,” they do NOT recruit children, they simply wish to be safe to live their lives with integrity, being who they were born to be.

  15. @ Graham

It’s a bit of silly nonsense coined, but never satisfactory defined, by gay-bashers (who might, for example, wish to ignore, or divert attention from, real issues facing the societies of which they are a part).

It’s also irrelevant with regard to the conference mentioned here, which was about how to deal with violence and hatred directed against people who happen to be gay or who question / challenge unjust discrimination against LGB and/or T and/or I people.

  16. @ Maazi

You do keep saying the same thing; it is rather like a broken record. We know your ‘take’ on what you term ‘gayism’.

Of course, as an opposition politico, you would aim your fire at the NRM. But many opposition MPs were also quick to take up substantial pay rises and luxury cars.

You might ‘feel good’ snuggling up to your (NMR) gay-bashing chum, Bahati. What will he do in return? Say ‘thanks for your support’, then whack you over the head with the POMB 2011. Give an to inch ruthless and ambitious people like Bahati, and he will take you many many miles. But you just don’t see it, do you – you’re all caught up in this ‘gayism’ thing.

If ‘let’s bash gays’ is ‘the uniting force’ in UG politics, it’s little wonder that things are going the way they are going …

  19. I see the clearly well-fed Minister is considering ‘dying poor’ rather than ‘losing his dignity’.

One might be compelled to agree that ministers in the NRM government are greedy/corrupt hypocrites, but we are talking of gayism here !!! When it comes to gayism and other deviant sexual behaviours, there is unamity across political divides, socio-economic divides, ethnic divides, cultural divides and religious divides in Uganda. The cabinet minister for ethics was obviously referring to sentiments shared by almost everybody here from the richest to the poorest segment of the society. The minister sounding absurd about “personally dying poor” is neither here nor there. It does not detract from the central message which is that—Gayism has no place in Uganda.

  20. Freedom of association, freedom of speech; these are precious freedoms that Ugandan gays do not have. And if David Bahati gets his way, very soon, Ugandan LGBT people may not have freedom to live.

    Doc Warren,

Your statement above is just fodder for gay propaganda. Nobody will be deprived of the right to life on grounds of promoting or engaging in sex crimes. However hedonistic militants shall be deprived of the right to incite others to commit a sex crime through promotion of gayism.

Folks, it looks like it is time to wake up again.

The bill was never asleep. It is probably your own perception that led you to the conclusion that the bill was “asleep”. It is obvious that you are not really familiar with formal and informal processes within our parliament. May be you were too busy watching cabinet ministers in the executive branch of the Ugandan State painstakingly shelving, unshelving and re-shelving their dusty copies of the Bahati Bill.

Actually I’m sure HE won’t ‘die poor’; he’ll just arrange for other Ugandans to ‘die poor’ for him and his anti-gay obsessions! That’s the way with people like him, I fear.
