  1. bahati claims that african homosexuals are engaging in “un-African” behavior just by being themselves… cheap.

the term “un-African” suggests the existence of a dominant culture in Africa, but every single one of Africa’s diverse cultures and sub-cultures is a minority when placed on the grand African stage of diversity.

some people seem to be selective when identifying minorities just as they are selective when identifying scriptures, in order to justify their homophobia.

so, the suggestion is… homosexuality is “un-African” because sexual *minorities* (duh!) are not part of the fabled dominant culture in Africa… and therefore lgbt Africans should be persecuted because they pose some kind of threat to the heavily romanticized sexuality of the imaginary dominant culture in Africa, just by being sexual minorities.

    …crafty intolerance!

i’m glad that mr. mogae and others acknowledged the dishonesty in claims that homosexuality is unAfrican.

hopefully bahati’s “bleeding heart” will eventually lead to a change of heart.

  2. ¨…he’s still lying about uganda’s ammended law on pedophilia, claiming it is not gender neutral… what a dishonest legislator.¨ anteros

Amongst the biggest and most dangerous liars of them all is Anglican Archbishop Henry Orombi who, aside from being MP David Bahati´s ¨spiritual advisor,¨ also spouts the above LIE! This is the same Orombi who is poaching on Episcopal Church Parishes in California and Georgia (and Canada), a buddy of the Washington D.C. ¨C¨ Streeters and is currently appealing state Supreme Court decisions in both U.S. States to get out of the properties he thinks he has a right to own! Grandstanders, opportunists, bigots and thieves apparently see nothing unwholesome when they LIE!

  3. if being unAfrican is the issue, and those who are deemed “unAfrican” (by none other than the English speaking, Italian suit wearing, Swiss watch wearing, French wine sipping, Japanese car driving, American religion preaching, colonial law legislating, self-appointed judges of African-ness) are such bad people that they deserve life imprisonment and the death penalty… then why not revise the Anti-Homosexuality Bill into an Anti-unAfrican Bill?

  6. But it is a serious point for discussion at the moment, especially in the light of Bahitler’s – sorry, Bahati’s – ‘Murder-the-gays Bill’, and in that of homophobic hysteria generally.

Another aspect that should be looked at more closely (on another occasion perhaps) is: ‘what do we actually mean by “homosexuality” and by “(un-)African”?’ (Anteros has more than hinted at the need to consider carefully these points; Bahitler and Co. like to confuse issues as part of their viscous propaganda.) If one is speaking of the existence of same-sex attraction, then of course it’s “African” – in the same way as it is “European” or “American” or …

  7. Homosexuality is the Un-Cola! LOL!!!! Sorry but the more years that this argument goes on the less I take it seriously.

  9. Like most people, actually. However, it is perhaps the hypocrisy of the bahatiites that most breath-taking.

  12. Isn’t it amazing how easily – and SELECTIVELY – some people are ‘offended’??!!

  13. bahati claims that african

    homosexuals are engaging in

    “ un-African” behavior just by

    being themselves… *cyclic redundancy error*

  16. bahati’s responses to questions about “recruitment” couldn’t have been more revealing… what a hoax.

to this day, bahati thinks he can get away with using *pedophilia* to justify his anti *homosexuality* bill… he’s still lying about uganda’s ammended law on pedophilia, claiming it is not gender neutral… what a dishonest legislator.

what bahati attempted to describe as the bill’s four components do not match the bill’s text… and he was not referring to an ammended bill because he’s still justifying the most controversial bits of the bill which according to several sources, including buturo, have been removed. based on bahati’s responses, the death penalty has not been removed. bahati was evasive about life imprisonment for “serial offenders” (“sexually active homosexuals”)… it seems the bill hasn’t changed one bit and that bahati is either unaware or dismissive of any proposed changes to the bill.

given the type of responses he gave, i doubt bahati (and those who are trying to pass his bill) can be trusted at all.
