ACORN whistleblowers come forward: Housing funds were spent on political organizing

The Consumers Rights League today released two affidavits from former ACORN employees. Both disclose that federal funds intended to support ACORN housing efforts went instead to fund ACORN’s partisan politcal activities.
From the group’s website:

Washington, Oct 15 – Today, the Consumers Rights League (CRL) released more damning evidence that the housing operations of ACORN are illegally used to support the organization’s political operations. According to documents detailing the accounts of former ACORN Housing Corporation employees, the group allegedly misused funds and may have hidden activities from federal authorities.

The affidavits are on the CRL website.
The affidavits accuse ACORN of unethical and illegal activities. The individuals are prepared to testify against ACORN in court.
Other former ACORN employees came forward in July, 2008.

  1. HM – Funny handle 🙂
LD – This post may or may not have relevance to Obama; it depends on what my conversations with witnesses tell me…

  2. Lynn, having read previous comments from you- you know as well as anyone what this has to do with Senator Obama. EVERYTHING has to do with The Obama; for He is The Light and The Way. The Path from the Darkness. Healer of our wretched Souls. Giver of Hope. Agent of Change. Champion-of-those-who-until-now-had-no-idea-they-were-even-looking-for-a-Champion. He is us, and we see the promise, a promise of our shining future, reflected in His countenance.
How lucky, how truly lucky and blessed are we to have Him by our sides to guide us.
And just think, come Election Day, (Oh that Glorious Day!) I won’t even have to miss a moment’s work toiling in the vast sweatshops of our (temporary) republican overlords, my precious vote will be cast for me over and over again by one of the many helpful Community Organizers that blissfully do the Chosen One’s menial tasks…!
