  1. Let’s see, I have a disorder, I can’t take communion if I’ve had sex with my lover because our love-making is a sin, I have to be celibate, and I can’t tell anyone about being gay except for close family and friends. I feel more welcome already!

  3. Saying that there is no obligation to try it is not the same as saying that it doesn’t work. I thought that there was a statement saying that some have found it helpful. That sounds like a mild endorsement.

  4. I only wish there would have been individualization. Some people would profit from therapy designed to change sexual attractions and some would not but the guidelines seem to say there is no obligation to go into it. I wonder if people will read this as pessimism.
